Bajaj is gearing up to unveil an enhanced version of the Chetak Premium on January 5th, promising an array of premium features, notably an all-new TFT display, elevating the electric scooter’s appeal. While the existing Chetak lineup includes both Urbane and Premium variants, the forthcoming updated Chetak Premium is anticipated to widen the gap between the two models. The Chetak Urbane will persist as the more budget-friendly and basic version, contrasting with the updated Chetak Premium, which will position itself as the pricier and more feature-packed alternative.

The announcement of the updated Chetak Premium’s launch has been shared by Bajaj on social media, scheduled for 1 pm on January 5. Accompanying the announcement are teaser images, providing glimpses of the scooter, with a clear focus on the new TFT screen. The displayed readout indicates the inclusion of Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, and the continuation of riding modes, enhancing the scooter’s technological offerings.

While the exterior of the scooter, as revealed in the images, remains largely unchanged from the current Chetak Premium, retaining its distinctive single-sided front suspension, sleek alloy wheels, and timeless rounded design, the interior upgrades hint at a significant enhancement in user experience.

As for the powertrain and battery pack, details about potential revisions remain undisclosed. The Chetak Premium presently boasts a 2.9kWh battery pack, delivering a claimed range of 108km. However, with possible software upgrades, the range may witness a boost, possibly reaching 113km, as observed in the recently launched Chetak Urbane.

This unveiling marks Bajaj’s commitment to refining its electric scooter offerings, aligning with the growing demand for technologically advanced and feature-rich urban mobility solutions.
