Crowning her achievements, Marsh was named Miss Colorado in May 2023, a significant accomplishment that coincided with her graduation from USAFA and subsequent commissioning as an Air Force Officer. Undeterred by the demands of military service, Marsh simultaneously embarked on a journey towards higher education, pursuing a Master’s in Public Policy at the prestigious Harvard Kennedy School.

Historic Feat at Miss America:

As the Miss America pageant approaches, Marsh stands out as a trailblazer, poised to become the first active-duty Air Force officer to compete in the storied competition. Scheduled to take place in Florida on January 13 and 14, this historic moment underscores Marsh’s ability to seamlessly integrate her commitment to service with her aspirations on the stage.

A Fusion of Passions:

Expressing her enthusiasm about the unique convergence of her military career and pageant participation, Marsh emphasized the importance of breaking down stereotypes and encouraging others to explore diverse interests. “It’s an awesome experience to bring both sides of the favorite parts of my life together and hopefully make a difference for others to realize that you don’t have to limit yourself,” she stated in an interview with the New York Post.

“In the military, it’s an open space to really lead in the way that you want to lead – in and out of uniform. I felt like pageants, and specifically winning Miss Colorado, was a way to truly exemplify that and to set the tone to help make other people feel more comfortable finding what means most to them,” Marsh added.

From the Skies to the Stage:

Marsh, who has harbored dreams of becoming a pilot since a young age, shared her passion for aviation. Introduced to the world of flight through a space camp at the age of 13, where she interacted with astronauts and fighter pilots, Marsh’s trajectory toward the skies was set. At 15, she commenced flying lessons, and by the age of 17, she had earned her pilot’s license.

Apart from her current endeavors in beauty pageants, Marsh envisions her future as a ‘Top Gun’ fighter pilot, aligning her aspirations with her early dreams of taking to the skies in high-performance aircraft.
